Priming the Social Media Pump – A Regular Exercise
Part of my daily routine at semvironment is to take roughly 15 to 30 minutes to run through a few of the most popular Social Media outlets and actively participate in the morning “buzz”…here is my quick routine:
Firefox automatically logs in with the SU extension so I stumble roughly 10 times – I ignore a few pages and thumbs up a couple relevant pages that I really do find interesting, helpful, or humorous…
I subscribe to so many feeds that I have generally read 80% of the stories I sphinn right away…and I have to admit, it probably looks like spam in the live feed area because jameszol owns that entire page for a few seconds after 20 sphinns!
You probably already know that Digg changed their algo a little bit…personally, I haven’t submitted any front page stories…but I tend to digg a lot up so I start digging early in the morning.
For some reason I haven’t used del.icio.us as much as I should…but I like to log in, just in case I find something I really feel needs to be tagged.
I hate to admit that I like Facebook a lot. It only warrants my time twice a day though so I check it in the morning and occasionally in the evening before I check out for the day. You can find me by searching for “James Zolman”
And that’s it – a quick 15 to 30 minutes every morning prime my Social Media Pumps for sphinning, digging, and stumbling stories throughout the day!
If you want to send any sphinnworthy, diggworthy, stumbleworthy stuff my way please look me up and add me as a friend – I linked to my profile data using the social site links listed in this post.
I am looking forward to stumbling, digging, and sphinning your stuff!
