Pay Per Click Advertising Roundup 1/19/08 - 1/25/08
First, a few additions to the blog format for semvironment that I’m confident you will enjoy -
1. We will start trying to report and link to newsworthy headlines as soon as they occur.
2. We will initiate a Pay Per Click Makeover series similar to the Landing Page Makeover Clinics on Copyblogger. We will outline the details of that next week!
This is probably the most exciting change we are making for now.
3. Daily PPC Roundups - instead of these huge, hard to digest posts we will initiate daily roundups…we might miss a day or two here and there but we are going to strive for digestible roundups even if one day is relatively inactive as far as posts we would recommend reading.
Here we go - a nice big roundup for the week because I didn’t get time to do a couple roundups during the week!
Official Blogs
AdWords
Demographic bidding beta test - I think this is simply a re-release of a capability that was somewhat already built in…but it is or can be a good benefit to AdWords and advertisers to push that capability as a more comprehensive feature.
Three More Conversion Optimizer Webinars - Definitely something worth attending. We will be in on one or two of them!
Google Content Network Tips: Optimizing for a content network audience - I love it when tips come straight from the source, even if it is a bit basic for advanced ppc marketers.
Latest Retail and TechB2C Industry Newsletters
Yahoo! Search Marketing
A Smarter Start - I don’t know if this is a copycat move to Google’s recent AdWords textbook release. Even if it is, that’s fine with us! More information usually contributes to better decision making.
adCenter (MSN)
How Do You Solve A Problem Like adCenter Account Structure? - I thought this meant something completely different…I was hoping they were going to address their poopy UI.
Favorite posts from the people/bloggers/companies we admire (alphabetical) -

The number one threat to conversion - I usually ignore the AMA webinars…maybe I’ll pay more attention because the content of this one looked very appealing and high quality.

That’s a wrap. Have a great weekend!
